Website health
A guide, not a grade.
The Website Health score groups together the checks BlinkMetrics can make automatically. A lower score means there are more things worth reviewing. It does not mean the website is bad, and a score of 100 does not guarantee good Google positions or sales.
Use it for
Finding the most obvious problems and deciding what to check first.
Estimated competition
A comparison inside BlinkMetrics.
This score helps compare search ideas. A higher number suggests the idea may be harder to compete for. It is a BlinkMetrics estimate, not a score supplied by Google and not a promise about where you will rank.
Use it for
Comparing relevant ideas after you have already decided they fit your website and audience.
Opportunity score
A shortcut for prioritising.
BlinkMetrics combines signals such as search demand and estimated competition to help surface ideas worth a closer look. It is there to shorten a list, not make the decision for you.
Use it for
Spotting promising ideas, then checking relevance and what the searcher actually wants.
Public snapshots
Useful clues, not the whole web.
Link and competitor reports can use public web data. No provider sees every link on the internet, so totals can differ between tools and change between checks.
Use it for
Finding websites, topics and patterns worth investigating — not proving an exact universal link count.
Measured · estimated · public snapshot
How to judge the confidence of a number.
MeasuredData returned by a named source, such as a connected Google service or Google's page-speed test.
EstimatedA BlinkMetrics calculation intended to help compare or prioritise options. Useful for planning, but not a guarantee.
Public snapshotInformation found from public web-data sources. Useful evidence, but it may not include everything that exists.
Site Check
What should I fix?
Site Check opens the public pages it can discover, checks common website problems and groups the findings by importance. It can also ask Google to test the home page's speed.
Items such as very short pages or unusual URLs are review flags. They are not automatic proof that something is wrong.
Search Ideas
What are people looking for?
Search Ideas combines real search-demand numbers with BlinkMetrics comparison scores. Start with whether the phrase is useful to your audience. Then use demand and competition to decide which ideas deserve more research.
Links
Who mentions this website?
The Links report shows websites found linking to the site or a competitor. A link from a relevant, genuine website is usually more interesting than a large pile of unrelated links.
Next Steps
What is worth working on?
Next Steps turns the available information into shorter work lists: content ideas, competitor clues and — where private Google Search data is connected — pages and searches already gaining visibility.
Use with ChatGPT
Move from finding a problem to fixing it.
Each main report can be copied in a format designed to make sense in a new ChatGPT conversation. The export includes context, limitations and the underlying findings so you do not have to explain the report again.
- Copy for ChatGPT — quickest hand-off.
- Markdown — readable report you can save or paste elsewhere.
- CSV — useful for rows and spreadsheets.
- JSON — structured data when you want the full detail.
